Family Violence Specialist

As a seasoned professional in child, youth, and families welfare, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality support to individuals and families experiencing family violence.

The Orange Door Program is an integrated practice model that brings together various workforces to provide a consolidated intake point for vulnerable families. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team working collaboratively to assess and respond to the complex needs of these families.

  • Deliver intake support via phone, within the Orange Door site, and through outreach visits.
  • Manage a caseload and deliver screening and triage, assessment, crisis responses, service planning, targeted interventions, allocation, and coordinated referrals.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support integrated risk assessment and planning.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver high-quality intake support to families experiencing family violence.

- Work collaboratively with colleagues to assess and respond to the complex needs of families.

- Develop and implement effective service plans and targeted interventions to support families in achieving positive outcomes.

Requirements:

- Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification.

- Experience in child, youth, and families welfare, including family violence and trauma-informed practice.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
