Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Freight Assistant to join our IIQAF team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, including trucking routes and driver assignments, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation operations, including driver logs, vehicle maintenance records, and fuel usage.
  • Prepare and distribute transportation documents, such as bills of lading and delivery schedules, in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and team members to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Monitor shipments to ensure they are delivered on time and meet customer requirements.
  • Resolve transportation-related issues, such as delays, route changes, and equipment malfunctions, efficiently.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in a transportation or logistics role is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills are essential.
  • Proficient in using transportation software and applications.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with transportation regulations and best practices.
  • Valid driver's license required.
