Head Chef Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Chef to oversee the culinary operations of our kitchen.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for residents in accordance with their dietary needs and preferences.
  • Manage resources, including equipment and food supplies, within the kitchen.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment that meets high standards.
  • Collaborate with residents on menu design and meal times.
  • Prepare modified diets and supplements as required.
  • Evaluate meal presentation and ensure visual appeal.
  • Partner with the Concierge team to provide catering services for special events.

About You:

  • You have a passion for delivering exceptional care to the elderly.
  • You possess strong customer service skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • You hold a Certificate IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery).
  • You have demonstrated leadership experience and can motivate others.
  • You possess excellent communication skills and can build rapport with older adults.
  • You have a good understanding of workplace health and safety principles.
  • AHACCP knowledge is highly regarded.
  • You are proficient in using computer systems, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
