Executive Revenue and Events Strategist

Competitive Compensation Package- We offer a competitive salary, which is estimated at around AU$120,000 - 180,000 per annum.
As Executive Revenue and Events Strategist, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by maximising group rooms and catering sales for Hilton Sydney. This includes all event spaces, with a focus on being the hotel leader within the Sydney MICE market.
Main Responsibilities:- Talent Development: Develop and nurture talent within the team, enhancing overall competencies.
- Revenue Maximisation: Utilise tools, relationships, stakeholders, industry insight, and Hilton systems to drive revenue performance in line with hotel strategy.
- Sales Strategy: Continuously develop and evaluate the hotel's revenue and selling strategy, ensuring effective communication throughout the organisation.
- Demand Calendar Management: Control and update the hotel's demand calendar, identifying opportunities and need periods for the team.
- Pricing and Space Optimisation: Provide pricing and space optimisation strategies to support revenue growth.
- Commercial Leadership: Support commercial leaders to ensure hotel strategy and targets are developed and focused upon, striving to meet and exceed targets.
- Event Status Review: Engage actively in weekly group and event status review meetings to convert key events, especially during critical risk and opportunity periods.
- Booking Trends Analysis: Review booking trends and recommend commercial changes as necessary.
- Tool Utilisation: Ensure the team effectively utilises applicable tools and systems to support the hotel's catering and group room revenue strategy.
- Forecasting: Prepare forecasts, identifying opportunities and risks to inform business decisions.
- Tertiary qualifications in Hotel Management, Business, or a related field.
- Previous experience in Revenue Management, Conference and Events, or a background in hotels is highly desirable.
- An entrepreneurial mindset.
- Excellent coaching, mentoring, and leadership skills, with a commitment to personal development.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication, with high standards of presentation.
- Able to maintain an enthusiastic approach to work, promoting teamwork and creating a trustworthy environment.

- Manages own time efficiently within tight schedules.
- Able to recognise trends in data.
- Proactive problem-solving skills.
- Computer literacy, including PMS, Microsoft Office, Salesforce/Delphi, and OnQ.
