Building a safer future in Queensland

CBGU JV is at the forefront of Queensland's largest infrastructure initiative, and we are expanding our team to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. As South East Queensland prepares for significant growth, we are proud to contribute to the transformative Cross River Rail project, which will revolutionize travel for residents.

CBGU JV combines the expertise of CPB Contractors, BAM, Ghella, and UGL to execute the Tunnel and Station Package for Brisbane's Cross River Rail, a 10.2-kilometre rail line connecting Dutton Park and Bowen Hills, featuring 5.9 kilometres of tunneling beneath the Brisbane River and CBD. This project also encompasses the construction of four new underground stations at Roma Street, Albert Street, Boggo Road, and Woolloongabba, where the future Olympic stadium will be located.

With all project sites and offices situated in Brisbane's vibrant inner city, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a major infrastructure endeavor that will leave a lasting impact on the city for years to come.

A collaborative team dedicated to your career growth.

Reporting directly to the Safety Manager, this position is integral to the Health & Safety project team based at Albert St. You will enhance the H&S function of the project by establishing and maintaining clear administrative systems that promote a consistent approach to H&S management across various project areas, including surface civil and tunneling construction.

As a member of the H&S team, you will provide precise and timely administrative support, significantly contributing to the successful and safe execution of the Project.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting, coordinating, and advising on safety practices, systems, and procedures throughout the Project. Reviewing documentation to assess subcontractor capabilities in meeting safety standards. Monitoring progress against role and responsibility profiles and reporting to the project leadership team. Applying effective time management skills to daily tasks while prioritizing workloads for maximum efficiency. Coordinating and scheduling team meetings. Managing data entry for the project incident management system. Preparing and updating all necessary Project Safety Plans and registers.

Essential qualifications for this role include:

Certification in office administration or a related field. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others. Previous experience in a similar administrative support role within a small team. Familiarity with project administration tasks, including report preparation, spreadsheets, and correspondence. Demonstrated assertiveness and confidence, with a willingness to learn from a knowledgeable team. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

At CBGU JV, we are committed to fostering workplace diversity, supporting women in construction, and promoting Indigenous advancement and participation. We encourage individuals from all cultural backgrounds to consider this opportunity.

Please note: This role is being sourced through CBGU JV partners directly, and we will not accept applications via external recruitment agencies.
