Job Overview

We are seeking qualified professionals to fill the position of Connection Coach within our Housing Connect team in Hobart.

The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering initial and comprehensive engagement and assessment processes to determine service response/resource distribution. They will also provide information and advice, address immediate needs, and coach and support service users to develop and progress an immediate response or Initial Action Plan for keeping or finding housing.

  • Conduct assessments in line with an Advantaged Thinking practice approach
  • Develop brief interventions: short term planning and goal setting
  • Develop, leverage and sustain relationships across the service system, community, business, and education sectors
  • Provide up-to-date knowledge of housing information, community resources, service providers and referral points

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in conducting assessments, high level initiative and problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop and sustain relationships. They will also have a commitment to working collaboratively with partners and maintaining accurate, professional case-notes.
