Regional Support Specialist- Family and Sexual Violence Pilot - Primary Health Initiative

Engender Equality is a dynamic and professional specialist family violence service.
In partnership with Laurel House, Engender Equality will deliver the 'Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence Pilot - Service Integrators Initiative'. This pilot will improve the capacity of General Practices and Aboriginal Health Services to recognise and respond to family violence, sexual violence and child sexual abuse.
The Support Specialist will work with the Manager and Operations Coordinator, and other Support Specialists (including those in partner organisations), to develop relationships with General Practices and Aboriginal Health Services offering a phone and web-based family and sexual violence referral support service and provide capacity building activities with General Practices and Aboriginal Health Services about family and sexual violence.
The pilot is supported by funding from Primary Health Tasmania (Tasmania PHN) through the Australian Government's Primary Health Networks Program.
Essential requirements
Experience in the specialist domestic, family and sexual violence sector, including lived expertise
Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills and the capacity to effectively communicate in diverse professional contexts
Knowledge of service frameworks relating to family and sexual violence, and child sexual abuse in Tasmania
