Job Summary:

We are seeking a Mental Health Clinician to join our team, providing high-quality support to young people aged up to 18 years who are experiencing suicidal crisis. This role involves delivering recovery-oriented, trauma-informed care in a non-clinical environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with Suicide Prevention Peer Workers, ensuring co-design with people who have lived experience of suicidal crisis is central to all aspects of the service. They will also be responsible for promoting the service and enhancing partnerships and referral pathways with key stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver recovery-oriented, trauma-informed support to young people
  • Collaborate with Peer Suicide Prevention Workers to deliver the service
  • Ensure co-design with people who have lived experience of suicidal crisis
  • Promote the service and enhance partnerships and referral pathways

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications and professional registration/membership
  • Postgraduate experience in delivery of suicide prevention support services
  • Excellent negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
