About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Waste Administration and Finance Officer to provide project, financial management and administrative support to our Waste and Cleaning team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively obtain relevant information, creatively identify solutions to problems, resiliently respond to correspondence received via shared inboxes, and manage correspondence registers for the team;
  • Autonomously capture robust data for the updating and management of databases and associated administrative tasks;
  • Maintain nominated operating budgets related to the City's waste and cleaning services; and
  • Foster, advocate and implement the City's Customer Service Charter.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to use initiative and problem solve. They will have well-developed verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to produce moderately complex correspondence, reports, publications, and presentations.

What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Demonstrated experience in researching, analysing, summarising and actioning general administrative and financial matters;
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative and problem solve;
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to produce moderately complex correspondence, reports, publications, and presentations;
  • Autonomous ability to effectively organise as well as adapt own time and workload to meet deadlines despite conflicting priorities;
  • A right to work in Australia (e.g. a birth certificate, current passport or current visa);
  • A current 'C' class Australian drivers licence; and
  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months).
