Job Title: Theatre Floor Coordinator
Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Theatre Floor Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate all aspects of theatre operations, ensuring a seamless workflow and adherence to established protocols.
The Theatre Floor Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Theater Operations Management: Overseeing and coordinating all aspects of theater operations, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Team Coordination: Collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthetists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective coordination and efficient patient flow throughout the theatre department.
- Patient Care: Maintaining a patient-centric approach, ensuring high-quality care and safety standards are upheld during surgical procedures and recovery.
- Equipment and Supply Management: Coordinating the availability and functionality of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, including ensuring proper sterilization, maintenance, and inventory control.
- Documentation and Compliance: Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of surgical cases, maintaining records of patient information, and adhering to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Staff Training and Development: Providing ongoing support and training to theatre staff, ensuring their competence in performing their roles effectively.
- Continuous Improvement: Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing strategies to enhance theatre efficiency, patient experience, and overall departmental performance.
- Emergency Response: Remaining calm and taking charge in emergency situations, following established protocols and ensuring the safety of patients and staff.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in healthcare, nursing, or a related field are highly desirable.
- Strong Leadership Skills: Possessing excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Excellent Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are necessary, enabling effective interaction with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail are essential, ensuring smooth coordination and efficient utilization of resources.
- Problem-Solving: Having a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, capable of handling challenges and making informed decisions under pressure.
- Flexibility: Being able to work flexible hours and adapt to changing demands and priorities within a dynamic healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of Regulations: Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations, infection control standards, and accreditation requirements is advantageous.
