**About the role
Assist in the management of all the Patient Support Services to the RBWH Operating Theatres, Intensive Care Facility and Burns Unit ensuring that an effective and efficient service is maintained.
Manage staff within contemporary Human Resources management principles to achieve quality outcomes.
Promote the Patient Support Services department by networking with staff and clients to achieve client focussed quality outcomes.
Plan, coordinate and deliver training to Theatre Support Officers and Trainees working in the perioperative, ICU, Burns Unit to ensure skills are maintained/updated/acquired, appropriate for their work requirements.
About you
Assist in the management of the cleaning and patient assistance activities performed by Patient Support Services staff, ensuring efficient services are provided using best practices and other Quality Improvement Principles, including budget integrity.
Plan, develop, review, coordinate and deliver approved training programs in, Patient Handling, Cleaning, Fire and Evacuation and/ or other programs approved for delivery to Patient Support Services staff.
Communicate with all departments on matters relating to service delivery and continually review resources within the patient assistance and cleaning service, deploying staff to ensure optimal utilisation of staff resources.
Attend meetings, in-service, internal and external training programs as required to provide training strategies to facilitate organisational training and growth to ensure staff development.
