Theatre Orderly Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Theatre Orderly.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Set up operating theatres for procedures, position patients on the table, clean between cases, and support daily operations.

This role involves setting up equipment, positioning patients, cleaning the theatre, transporting patients, managing supplies, and removing waste. Key tasks include:
• Preparing the operating table and equipment before each procedure
• Positioning and transferring patients safely and efficiently
• Maintaining a clean and organized theatre environment
• Transporting patients between departments
• Managing linens, fluids, and other necessary items
• Removing rubbish and used linen from the theatre

About You

You will be a robust individual with experience in healthcare, preferably in the perioperative area, or a willingness to develop this skillset.

  • Excellent communication skills to create a positive patient experience
  • Knowledge of WH&S principles and physical ability to perform the role
  • Previous experience as an orderly, preferably in a fast-paced theatre environment
  • Commitment to safety values
  • Strong time management and adaptability
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
