Role Overview

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of theatre bookings. This involves collecting and inputting accurate patient data, coordinating with medical staff and operating theatres, and providing administrative support to the Bookings Department.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong communication links between theatres, wards, doctors and receptionists
  • Accurately schedule theatre allocations, taking into account time constraints and procedural complexity
  • Efficiently collect and input patient and theatre data into the computer system
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely data entry and filing
  • Ensure patient confidentiality at all times

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • A willingness to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in bookings within a similar theatre environment
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Proficiency with medical systems, including electronic record systems
