Development Specialist

Key to success in this role is providing high-quality training and coaching to less experienced technicians and apprentices, enabling them to undertake troubleshooting, repairs, and rebuilds on Cummins products.
Responsibilities- We are seeking an expert trainer to coach and develop less experienced technicians and apprentices.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Diesel Engine Fundamentals and Basic Diagnostic training to all apprentices in the region.
- This role requires participation in monthly Capability Trainer meetings and provision of updates on progress against Heavy Vehicle Mechanical milestone training plan for the apprentices in your branch/region.
- Effective communication with Supervisors, Workshop Manager, and Service Manager regarding training program delivery schedule is essential.
- Maintaining a focus on apprentice safety by participating in extended pre-start meetings to ensure their understanding of workplace hazards and risk is paramount.
- Possess advanced level knowledge of and experience with Heavy Duty Engine products.
- Previous experience providing technical advice and coaching to apprentices/technicians is preferred.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable.
- A minimum of 4 years post trade apprenticeship completion is preferred.
