About the Role

As a Project Underground Geologist, you will play a key role in supporting the development of processes for underground mineral resource development to ensure timely delivery of material into the mine plan.

This position involves working at a large scale underground operation producing 2.7 Mtpa with plans to reach 3.1 Mtpa, contributing to achieving this goal.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Gain experience with underground RC grade control drilling and identify drilling targets to extend the Life of Mine (LOM) and increase reserves and resources.
  • Collaborate with the modeling and resource estimation team to improve geological data for GC and resource estimations.
  • Plan, monitor and implement Mine Geology business improvement projects.
  • Contribute to End of Month (EOM) reconciliation and reporting processes.

The successful candidate will have a BSc in Geology or higher-level qualifications and previous underground mine geology experience.

They should also possess a strong grasp of mining geology including gold sampling and assaying, geological interpretation, grade modeling.

Additionally, they must demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork within the industry.
