The Mine Geology team at AngloGold Ashanti Australia Limited are seeking a Specialist Project Geologist to join their on-site team. This permanent role offers ongoing growth opportunities and will report into the Senior Mine Geologist.

\Key Responsibilities:
\
  • \
  • Support the development of processes for underground mineral resource development.\
  • Ensure timely delivery of material into the mine plan.\
  • Work with the modeling and resource estimation team to improve geological data.\
  • Plan, monitor and implement Mine Geology business improvement projects.\
  • Contribute to the End of Month (EOM) reconciliation and reporting process.\
  • Train and mentor Graduates and Mine Geologists.\
  • Perform tasks in compliance with relevant safety guidelines, procedures, and duty of care obligations.\

About You:
\
  • \
  • BSc in Geology or higher-level qualifications.\
  • Previous underground mine geology experience.\
  • Strong grasp of mining geology including gold sampling and assaying, geological interpretation, grade modelling.\
  • Demonstrated commitment to our company values within safety, quality, and teamwork.\
  • Enjoys coaching and mentoring junior staff in geological thinking, interpretation and 3D modelling.\
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, Vulcan, Leapfrog & Datashed desirable.\
  • Deswik knowledge will be advantageous.\
  • Permanent work rights in Australia.\
  • Current C class Manual Drivers Licence.\
  • A National Police Clearance.\
