Key Roles and Responsibilities

The primary goal of the Retail Store Operations Manager is to lead a high-performing retail store team, ensuring exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, and fostering a positive work environment.

  1. Oversee daily activities of the retail store to maintain operational efficiency and maximize sales potential.
  2. Recruit, train, and develop staff to meet business objectives, emphasizing leadership skills and customer service excellence.
  3. Establish and enforce policies and procedures to optimize operational efficiency and drive business performance.
  4. Monitor and analyze sales performance and financial metrics to inform strategic decisions.
  5. Manage financial operations, including budgeting and reporting, to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  6. Negotiate terms and pricing with suppliers to secure favorable deals for the business.
  7. Develop and implement marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to boost customer engagement and loyalty.
  8. Address customer complaints in a professional manner, maintaining exceptional service standards and building trust with customers.
  9. Ensure workplace health and safety compliance by adhering to and enforcing safety protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Hold a Diploma-level qualification in Retail Management or at least three years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a retail management discipline.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills to motivate and engage teams.
  • Proven track record of sales and customer service experience to drive business growth.
  • Able to manage financial and operational aspects of a store to achieve business objectives.
