Leadership Role Summary

About the Position:
  • Oversee all site operations, including production, quality, safety, and logistics.
  • Implement strategies to drive operational efficiencies and ensure cost-effective manufacturing practices.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Manage workforce planning, rostering, and labour management.
  • Collaborate with senior management on strategic initiatives and business growth.
  • Ensure effective budgeting, KPI tracking, and operational reporting.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead Site Operations

The Operations Director will be responsible for leading and managing all site operations, including production, quality, safety, and logistics.

Drive Operational Efficiency

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing strategies to drive operational efficiencies and ensure cost-effective manufacturing practices.

Compliance and Governance

The Operations Director will maintain compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices, ensuring that the facility operates in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

Team Leadership

The Operations Director will lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, focusing on employee development and engagement.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar leadership role in food manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
