Operations Director - Renewable Energy & Solar Global renewables powerhouse 1KOMMA5 have entered the Australian market with a bang and are on a mission to accelerate the shift toward sustainable energy by making renewable energy accessible and affordable for everyone.Operating in 10 countries and further expansion plans on the horizon, 1KOMMA5 are pioneering the solar and sustainable energy industry by seamlessly integrating In-home and Commercial solar and renewable products with cutting edge digital technology.With operations now in full swing and thriving, a new opportunity exists for an experienced operational leader to refine and optimise all aspects of 1KOMMA5 Australia's residential installation process.Overseeing the delivery of more than 10,000 installations per year – from order confirmation through to installation, customer communication, post-installation service, and customer care, this critical position has been created to ensure the delivery process runs seamlessly and with maximum efficiency for our customers Nationally.Key Responsibilities Operational LeadershipLead and manage the national residential installation function, ensuring smooth, timely, and high-quality project delivery.
Oversee customer journey from order to post-installation care, ensuring a premium service experience.
Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and delivery methods to optimise efficiency and minimise delays.
Team & People LeadershipInspire, mentor, and lead a dynamic operations team across multiple states (QLD, NSW, VIC, SA).
Foster a high-performance culture that encourages accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.
Lead from the front – willing to roll up sleeves and work hands-on when needed.
Customer Experience & ServicePosition 1KOMMA5° as the market leader in renewable energy customer service.
Monitor and enhance customer communication, installation quality, and service outcomes.
Resolve escalations with empathy and professionalism, always prioritising customer satisfaction.
Strategic Growth & InnovationSupport expansion of the product offering to include full home and commercial electrification solutions.
Identify gaps in operational processes and implement scalable systems for sustainable growth.
Collaborate with global and local leadership to align operations with broader company goals.
Performance & Delivery ExcellenceManage and optimise "virtual assembly line" operations to ensure consistency and reliability.
Oversee KPIs across installation timeframes, customer satisfaction, service response, and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
What We're Looking For Proven senior leadership experience in operations, preferably in renewable energy, construction, or related industries.
Demonstrated success in scaling high-volume, customer-facing operations.
Strong leadership presence – able to motivate, inspire, and develop high-performing teams.
Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to identify operational gaps and implement innovative solutions.
Exceptional organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Customer-first mindset with a track record of delivering premium service experiences.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Flexibility to travel nationally to lead and support teams in Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide.
