About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Analyst to join our BWS Finance team. As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will play a critical role in the annual budget process and monthly forecast cycles, creating analysis and tracking of performance, and maintaining the integrity of the financial data that the business uses to make key commercial decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Improve team ways of working by introducing innovative analysis, systems efficiencies, and improving processes.
  • Deliver insightful analysis and commercial recommendations, including ownership of the monthly BWS performance pack, and input into Endeavour reporting cycle.
  • Work with FP&A Manager and the wider finance team to ensure consistent rhythm in place for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly deliverables.
  • Assess risks and opportunities against financial targets and provide recommendations for mitigating actions.
  • Provide leadership in financial control with management of month-end close, posting of relevant month-end journals, and coordination with FSS-A (shared services team) on balance sheet reviews.
  • Work closely with colleagues to identify key performance issues and propose solutions.
  • Manage National/overhead costs.
  • Working capital analysis and the management of associated improvement initiatives.
  • Support the preparation and submission of the annual budget and forecast, including ensuring they are understood and owned.
  • Work with key stakeholders to ascertain sales, profit, inventory, and cost control measures and resource requirements.
  • Manage costs against budget/targets and assist key stakeholders to monitor budgets/targets at all levels.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of finance and accounting experience.
  • CA/CPA/CIMA qualified.
  • Strong data analysis and modelling skills to analyze and summarize high volumes of data.
  • Strong presentation and storyboarding skills.
  • Able to ensure the approach and output is simple, structured, accurate, and robust.
  • Able to synthesize large amounts of data from a variety of sources.
  • Able to communicate complex financial information to a broad audience, able to make the complex simple.
  • Ability to identify efficiencies to accommodate the changing business environment.
  • Prioritize team efforts to support business requirements.
  • Strong experience using financial systems in a commercial environment, e.g., Excel (e.g., pivot tables, input ranges, vlookups, macros), SAP, Tableau, etc.
