
Primary Care Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Practitioner to join our supportive patient-centred team.
The ideal candidate will have recent experience working in general practice or be a newly qualified General Practitioner, with a strong ability to provide evidence-based care that addresses the medical needs of the local patient population.
Main Responsibilities:
- Undertaking various duties governed by the GMS contract, including face-to-face consultations, telephone consultations, home visits, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, and addressing queries and paperwork as required.
- Providing high-quality, patient-centred care, diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Ensuring all administrative tasks are completed promptly and accurately to support effective patient care, including managing referrals to secondary care, processing repeat prescription requests, reviewing test results, and handling patient queries.
- Participating in telephone triage and duty doctor responsibilities when required, ensuring all patient consultations, treatments, and decisions are accurately recorded in patient notes in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the practice team by taking on a fair and equitable share of clinical and administrative duties, following established clinical guidelines for patient care, and actively participating in audits to ensure quality improvement.
