Aboriginal Immunisation Registered Nurse Role

This opportunity provides the chance to contribute to improved health outcomes for Aboriginal children and families across the Central Coast.

The role is part of a dedicated program aimed at enhancing access to immunisation services and increasing vaccination rates.

Working in both inpatient and outpatient settings, you will provide education and vaccinations to protect the community and reduce the impact of vaccine-preventable diseases.

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Midwife with AHPRA.
  • NSW Accreditation as an Authorised Nurse/Midwife Immuniser, or working towards accreditation (training can be supported by an internal scholarship).
  • Detailed knowledge of best practice immunisation principles and guidelines, including an understanding of Aboriginal health needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with Aboriginal families, community members, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to working within professional and ethical boundaries in a team-based healthcare environment.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence.
