Aboriginal Immunisation Healthcare Professional

This role presents an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of health outcomes for Aboriginal children and families across the Central Coast. As a valued member of our Public Health team, you will be part of the WAVE Program, which focuses on improving access to immunisation services and elevating vaccination rates.
The successful candidate will deliver education and vaccinations in both inpatient and outpatient settings, thereby safeguarding the community and reducing the impact of vaccine-preventable diseases.
About This Opportunity
- Current Registration: Registered Nurse or Midwife with AHPRA.
- Accreditation: NSW Accreditation as an Authorised Nurse/Midwife Immuniser, or working towards accreditation (training can be supported by an internal scholarship).
- Knowledge and Skills: In-depth understanding of best practice immunisation principles and guidelines, along with knowledge of Aboriginal health needs.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with Aboriginal families, community members, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Professional Boundaries: Commitment to working within professional and ethical boundaries in a collaborative healthcare environment.
- Licence: Current NSW Driver's Licence.
