Opportunity Overview

This position presents an exceptional chance to contribute to the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal children and families across the Central Coast. As part of a dedicated Public Health team, you will play a crucial role in improving access to immunisation services and increasing vaccination rates.

As an Aboriginal Registered Nurse/Midwife, your key responsibilities will include delivering education and vaccinations that protect the community and reduce the impact of vaccine-preventable diseases. This is a part-time position, working Monday to Friday (hours to be advised).

Key Requirements

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Midwife with AHPRA.
  • NSW Accreditation as an Authorised Nurse/Midwife Immuniser, or working towards accreditation (training can be supported by internal scholarship).
  • Knowledge of best practice immunisation principles and guidelines, with an understanding of Aboriginal health needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with Aboriginal families, community members, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to working within professional and ethical boundaries in a team-based healthcare environment.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence.
