Job Description

The Vendor Business Manager is a key role responsible for driving strategic direction and profitability through close collaboration with vendor partners and internal sales teams.

Key responsibilities include building and maintaining positive relationships with vendors, negotiating terms and conditions, and developing profitable partnerships.

Additionally, the role involves researching invoice and contractual issues, resolving discrepancies, and providing specialized consultative services to support vendor programs, marketing, and training initiatives.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Building and driving mutually beneficial strategic relationships with vendor partners
  • Acting as a resource to the department as a vendor expert and solution delivery specialist
  • Responsibility for profitability across the vendor portfolio
  • Developing and facilitating profitable partnerships and strategic management of vendor relationships
  • Involvement in external meetings with customers and their account managers to understand customer needs and identify opportunities
  • Developing vendor and market segmentation business plans to present to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Leading and driving business opportunities for specific vendors or projects across multiple customer segments
  • Understanding and implementing vendors' key initiatives across the business
  • Focusing on driving new sales opportunities across the customer base
  • Providing constructive feedback on the competitive landscape
