Senior Manager, Global Risk Communications

This is a senior leadership role that oversees the development and implementation of a global risk communications strategy to deliver better member outcomes through risk excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and implementing this strategy across various teams within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a dynamic, creative, and innovative global internal communications strategy that supports the successful execution and embedding of the fund's refreshed risk framework.
  • Contribute to building a global risk performance culture aligned with the fund's 2035 strategy, driving sustainable change and building organizational resilience.
  • Provide active guidance and support to colleagues, the board, and executive team on communications to promote and embed a mature risk management culture.
  • Partner with senior management, business units, and other stakeholders to identify challenges and opportunities for continuous improvement to uplift organizational resilience and risk culture through communications.
  • Support the head of organizational resilience and principal, leadership communications to ensure program implementation integrates with relevant organizational functions, initiatives, and processes.
  • Lead the development and implementation of playbooks and toolkits for use by SLN and people leaders as well as quality fit-for-purpose content for internal channels to drive the outcomes of the strategy.
Requirements:
  • Deep experience working in a similar in-house position or consultancy role.
  • Demonstrated internal communications experience within financial services and knowledge of the regulators of the sector.
  • Demonstrated internal risk communications experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in transformation and change communications.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working to tight deadlines and managing competing priorities with a razor-sharp focus on delivering outcomes aligned to strategy.
  • Experience acting as a senior leader in large, complex organizations.
  • Proven ability to identify and manage emerging issues and trends.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing compelling content for all channels.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience and knowledge of the Australian superannuation system is desirable.
