Therapeutic Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced occupational therapist to join our team in Port Macquarie and surrounding areas.
The successful candidate will deliver evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions to clients under aged care funding programs, with a focus on reablement and restorative care.

About The RoleOur team provides home care services to older people in the community, with a focus on empowering them to live their best possible lives at home.
You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to assess occupational therapy needs and develop individualised programs for aged-care clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting occupational therapy assessments and developing individualised plans for clients;
- Delivering evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to improve clients' functional ability and quality of life;
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care;
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting on client progress.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A degree in occupational therapy from an Australian university or equivalent qualification;
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
- Post-graduate experience in aged care services, including rehabilitation and community settings;
- Comprehensive understanding of reablement and restorative care models;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Demonstrated computer literacy;
