MAYDAY Recruitment Group is seeking a People and Culture professional to fill the role of Organisational Development Specialist. This position will play a vital part in supporting organisational structure improvements by providing specialist advice on position descriptions and job design.

This temporary opportunity offers an immediate start until 30th June 2025, with the possibility of a 6th January start date for the right candidate. The hourly rate for this role ranges from $60 to $75 per hour, plus superannuation, depending on previous experience.

The successful candidate will be required to work between Monday and Friday, up to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to adjust hours based on workload. The ability to commit to the full duration of the assignment and adapt to potential fluctuations in hours is essential.

The key responsibilities of this role include creating detailed and accurate position descriptions that align with organisational changes and meet the standards of the organisational framework. This will involve partnering with business teams and subject matter experts to collect and interpret job information, turning it into clear position descriptions that reflect business objectives.

In addition to position description creation, the Organisational Development Specialist will collaborate with P&C teams to ensure consistency in role descriptions, maintain compliance with guidelines, and keep the RD library up to date. They will also offer guidance on job design concepts and position descriptions, suggesting solutions that align with business needs, organisational structure, and compliance standards.

To succeed in this role, candidates should have several years of experience within the P&C space, with a proven ability to provide specialist advice and develop processes in relation to organisational development. Experience in a similar role involving writing detailed reports/job descriptions is also highly desirable.

Candidates must be willing to attend the office at least one day per week, with the likelihood of increased office attendance in 2025. Knowledge of the NSW Government Capability Framework is a bonus, but not essential. Australian working rights are also a requirement.

Salary: $60-$75 per hour + Superannuation

Location: Sydney CBD offices, with hybrid working options available

Working Hours: Up to 40 hours per week, flexible
