Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategies for establishing a future-proof Centre of Excellence in Melbourne by securing partnerships with government, universities, and industry leaders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align frameworks, share assets, and strengthen delivery of automation and robotics technologies.
  • Lead solution design and proof-of-concept delivery, integrating technical expertise to support customers' Factory of the Future ambitions.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence across VIC, SA, and TAS.

This role is ideal for a senior leader who combines strategic vision with hands-on delivery, and who is motivated to make a lasting impact on the industry.

Requirements:
  • Engineering Degree with at least 8+ years' experience in automation, robotics, or industrial solutions, including project management.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams, take ownership of results, and drive change with resilience.
  • Business Acumen: Skilled in developing compelling proposals, securing funding, and shaping innovative business models.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication skills with a track record of building partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of automation and robotics technologies (PLCs, SCADA, robotics, Industry 4.0) with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
