Factory Operations Leader

Eco Benchtops, a manufacturer of solid benchtops in Australia, is seeking an individual to fill the role of second-in-command for the Factory Manager.
The ideal candidate will be able to work closely with the Factory Manager to shadow all tasks and learn each area of the role.
Responsibilities include supporting production targets and continuous improvements to our product by working collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and quality outcomes.
Additionally, the successful applicant must be able to operate machinery and equipment according to safety and quality guidelines and standard operating procedures.
Accountabilities
Stepping in as acting manager when the Factory Manager is absent.
Ensuring inventory management, production schedule, quality improvements, safety compliance, timesheets are being met.
Leading by example for the factory team with a hands-on approach.
Personal Specifications
A high school certificate or equivalent and the ability to speak and read English are essential requirements.
A current Forklift License and Project Management experience are highly desirable but not necessary qualifications.
Teamwork: Ability to communicate, show initiative, follow instructions, and work effectively in a team setting.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot problems and implement solutions efficiently is valuable.
Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and procedures.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
