We are seeking a skilled Production Manager to lead our factory operations in Melbourne.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in production management, excellent leadership skills, and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.

In this role, you will plan, schedule, and coordinate production activities to meet customer demands and deadlines. You will also lead, train, and mentor a team of approximately 10 factory staff, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to meet customer demands and deadlines
  • Leading, training, and mentoring a team of factory staff, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration
  • Managing inventory, materials, and resources to minimize waste and optimize production efficiency

Requirements for the role include:

  • Relevant qualifications in engineering or manufacturing field
  • Proven experience as a production manager or planner with supervisory/management experience in manufacturing environment
  • Experience using ERP systems for material planning, demand and capacity planning, warehouse stocking
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly within explosion protection and automation industries
