Program Coordinator Job

The Specialist Harmful Sexual Behaviours (HSB) Program provides a specialist, trauma-safe and culturally safe response to children and young people who are displaying harmful sexual behaviours.

The Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for supervision of the Counsellor and Aboriginal Outreach Support Worker position for the Specialist HSB Program.

  • A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values is essential.
  • Experience in working with children and young people who have been impacted by trauma and those who display harmful sexual behaviours is required.
  • A qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or a related field with clinical experience is preferred. A combination of relevant qualifications and cultural knowledge and experience will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated capacity in working collaboratively within a team to foster strong working relationships is necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Counsellor and Aboriginal Outreach Support Worker positions.
  • Work with children and young people who have been impacted by trauma and display harmful sexual behaviours.
  • Develop and implement programs to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, and their families.

Requirements:

  • Valid and current Driver's Licence;
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by the employer);
  • Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
  • Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles). The employer can assist successful candidates with their application.
