The Specialist Harmful Sexual Behaviours (HSB) Program provides a specialist, trauma-safe and culturally safe response to children and young people displaying harmful sexual behaviours. Our program offers healing support counselling and a therapeutic response working holistically with all those around the child or young person.
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced professional to supervise our Counsellor and Aboriginal Outreach Support Worker positions within the Specialist HSB Program. This is a full-time fixed-term opportunity based in Port Hedland WA within the Specialist Harmful Sexual Behaviour Program.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and values as well as experience in working with children and young people impacted by trauma and harmful sexual behaviours.
- A Master's level qualification in Psychology Social Work Counselling Aboriginal Studies or a related field with clinical experience;
- A combination of a relevant degree/certificate with cultural knowledge and experience with Aboriginal healing practices;
The ideal candidate will possess excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team and with internal and external stakeholders.
