Job Description:

The role of Actuary, Experience Analysis is to produce detailed biometric analyses and assumptions of the Life business experience using knowledge of the life insurance market and actuarial practice.

\

The team's vision is to be an important contributor of valuable insights that can drive the business forward.

Your Role:

  • \
  • Review, maintain, and develop experience analysis and terms of trade tools and methodologies\
  • Process data and calculations as part of the experience analysis process\
  • Analyse results of experience analyses and other aspects of the portfolio\
  • Investigate and understand underlying business drivers and provide insights\
  • Review, maintain, and develop specific terms of trade for both pricing and valuation\
  • Provide stakeholders with assumptions and related recommendations\
  • Present experience analyses and assumption proposals to internal and external clients\
  • Present insights and corresponding business actions/ideas to stakeholders\
  • Contribute to implementations, special projects, or quotation support\

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • \
  • Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (or equivalent)\
  • At least 3 years' life insurance actuarial experience\
  • Ability to interpret and articulate valuable insights\
  • Curiosity, creativity, and continuous development focus\
  • Ability and confidence to make decisions, even with a lack of available data\
  • Advanced Excel (including VBA), Word, and analytical tools\
  • Proficient in R or Python\
