Lead the design and delivery of a hybrid actuarial services model, transitioning from a fully outsourced model to a hybrid internal and existing external consultancy model

  • Lead the design and delivery of a hybrid actuarial services model Manage and process payments and recoveries
  • Advise this NSW State Government's executive leadership on capabilities, resourcing, risks, and strategic direction for actuarial services.
  • Oversee transition of knowledge from external actuaries to internal teams, building continuity and scheme expertise.
  • Design and implement actuarial models and methodologies to support regulatory decision-making.
  • Mentor and develop capability across this NSW State Government, promoting collaboration and professional growth.

About you:

  • A bachelor's degree in actuarial science, with a   professional actuarial qualification from Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries Australia (FIAA)
  • Extensive actuarial experience - open to someone looking for a step up.
  • Extensive experience in personal injury insurance schemes is preferable
  • Proven track record in establishing actuarial functions and uplifting capability across cross-functional teams
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at executive levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to a wide range of audiences.
