Stoma Therapist Role

This position involves acting as a clinical resource for healthcare professionals in stoma, fistula, wound and peristomal aspects of patient care.

  • You will assess and manage stomas, fistulas, wounds and peristomal skin integrity.
  • Initiate diagnostic investigations and provide pre and post-operative education and care to ostomy patients.
About You
  • Registered Nurse with relevant registration through AHPRA.
  • Member of the Australian Association of Stomal Therapy Nurses (AASTN).
  • Qualifications in Stomal Therapy or working towards them.
  • At least three years' experience in hospital nursing role.
  • Able to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate patient care delivery needs.
  • Exemplary customer service and time management skills.
  • Thrives in fast-paced environment with positive relationships with others.
