Senior Clinical Care Specialist

The Clinical Nurse Consultant is a specialist nursing role that provides expert clinical leadership and consultation in the assessment, management, and education of patients with ostomies, continence issues, and trial of void strategies.
- Responsible for operational and nursing management of Stomal therapy and Continence referrals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Educate healthcare professionals on best practices in ostomy care, continence management, and skin integrity.
- Employing high clinical knowledge and judgement to ensure superior delivery of holistic care.
This includes management of the nurse led Stomal Therapy Outpatient Clinic and Trial of Void Clinic. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, and research projects related to continence and ostomy care.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.
- At least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience and approved post registration nursing qualifications relevant to Stomal Therapy /Continence Nursing.
- Demonstrated leadership ability working in a multidisciplinary health care team with a comprehensive understanding of clinical governance.
- Effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment.
