Career Opportunity: Clinical Nurse Consultant

As a senior nurse leader in our surgical program, you will oversee the management of stomal therapy and continence referrals. Your primary objective will be to provide exceptional patient care by coordinating multidisciplinary teams, educating healthcare professionals, and promoting best practices in ostomy care and continence management.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement operational strategies for stomal therapy and continence referrals
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care services
  • Design and execute educational programs for healthcare professionals and patients on ostomy care and continence management
  • Utilize advanced clinical knowledge to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
  • Manage the nurse-led stomal therapy outpatient clinic and trial of void clinic

About the Role:

  • You are a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with current registration from the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency
  • You possess at least 5 years of full-time equivalent post-registration experience and approved post-registration nursing qualifications relevant to stoma therapy/continence nursing
  • You have demonstrated leadership abilities within a multidisciplinary team, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of clinical governance and current nursing issues
  • You can integrate theoretical knowledge with clinical skills, exhibit critical thinking, and analyze situations effectively
  • You possess effective time management skills and can prioritize competing workloads within a complex environment
