Job Title: Regional Health and Safety Manager
Company Overview: McConnell Dowell Constructors (Aust.) Pty Ltd is seeking a Regional Health and Safety Manager to oversee operations across designated regions. This role is integral to the National Health and Safety Manager and will encompass the QLD/NT and NSW/ACT areas. The ideal candidate will benefit from the support of a team of seasoned safety professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing effective Health & Safety management across Regional Operations and Projects to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
- Providing practical guidance and mentorship to Project Health & Safety teams, fostering independence and competence in project delivery.
- Executing the Health & Safety strategy in alignment with the Regional Business Plan.
- Ensuring legal compliance and offering management insights.
- Promoting a consistent and effective approach to Health and Safety throughout the region.
- Driving continuous improvement in Health & Safety performance annually.
Candidate Profile:
To excel in this position, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 10 years of operational experience in safety management within the construction sector.
- A Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent qualification.
- Strong communication skills, with experience in delivering training sessions.
- Proficiency in internal software systems and familiarity with broader applications.
- Experience in safety incident investigation and reporting.
- A solid understanding of risk assessment and audit processes.
