About the Role

Otraco International is a world-leading provider of Earthmover/Off-road tyre management services to the mining industry. As a Regional Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our operations in regional QLD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a Safety Culture: Commit to working safely, take care of your colleagues, and welcome them to do the same. Recognize that people can make mistakes, but take that extra step to report unsafe behavior.
  • Lead Safety Initiatives: Actively promote a safety culture across all projects, targeting zero harm to personnel and the environment.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure relevant legislative requirements are met on site, investigate hazards, incidents, and unsafe work conditions, and eliminate or reduce risks to acceptable levels.
  • Performance Management: Implement performance review and development plans for personnel, ensure client sites are sufficiently manned by qualified competent personnel, and manage relief fitter pools.
  • Client Relationship Management: Regularly meet with client representatives to discuss tyre performance and Otraco's service, prepare client reports that meet Otraco's professional standards, and develop and lodge monthly invoicing for responsible sites.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continual improvement and 'best practice' across Otraco project teams, conduct audits of Suppliers and assessment of Products to ensure effective delivery of service to clients, and support the development of the Otraco Group's market share.
About You

To be successful, you will have:

  • Extensive industry experience (10+ years) in the fitting of OTR tyres and the management of mine-based OTR operations.
  • Extensive supervisory/area manager experience, specifically the ability to provide support to geographically dispersed teams.
  • Current driver's licence.
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft suite of programs, including Excel & Word.
  • Good knowledge of OHS legislation, discipline, and practice.
