We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Health and Safety Manager to join our team at McConnell Dowell. As a key member of our health and safety team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe delivery of our projects across QLD/NT and NSW/ACT regions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective health and safety management systems to ensure compliance with MMS/PMP, legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
- Provide guidance and support to project health and safety teams to enable independence and capability in safe project delivery.
- Deliver health and safety direction, strategy, and implementation across the region in accordance with the region business plan.
- Ensure legal compliance and management insight.
- Develop and maintain a consistent, coordinated, and effective approach to health and safety across the region.
- Drive continual improvement in health and safety performance year on year.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 10 years operational experience in the application of safety management principles in the construction industry.
- A minimum of a Diploma in OHS qualification.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Competency in in-house software and wider applications.
- Experience in investigating and reporting safety incidents.
- Working knowledge of risk assessment and audit procedures.
