This is a key leadership opportunity to drive business growth and strategic delivery at Xero, one of the leading companies in Australia. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading large-scale projects from concept to operational handover.

The Programs, Projects and Portfolio group exists to ensure that the people, processes, and priorities are in place to help Xero operate as a world-class business. We deploy best practices in portfolio, programme, project, and delivery management to help teams deepen customer intimacy and accelerate value delivery.

As a Strategic Business Delivery Lead, you will work across multiple product and engineering teams to deliver critical pieces of work. You will need strong senior stakeholder management skills and experience leading complex technical cross-functional projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the planning, implementation, and delivery of projects on time, on budget, and to the desired quality and scope
  • Facilitating the definition of scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Developing fit-for-purpose project management plans and approaches
  • Working with stakeholders to transition project deliverables into BAU

You will also contribute to the growth and improvement of the project teams and colleagues, provide coaching and development for junior members, and role-model world-class delivery.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 6+ years' demonstrated experience leading and delivering multiple projects
  • Experience working with security-related projects
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex projects and cross-functional teams
  • Project management certification (PMI, PRINCE2, AgilePM, or similar)
  • Relevant infrastructure, data, and application development, business process, business change, or GTM subject matter expertise/demonstrated experience

In return for your expertise, you can expect a competitive salary of approximately $140,000 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications.
