As an Environmental Sustainability Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing sustainability strategies across our commercial and industrial properties portfolio. You will be influential in defining and delivering our expanding range of sustainability services, goals, and initiatives.

This strategic role requires collaboration with clients, internal teams, and industry partners to promote sustainable practices and drive innovation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Embedding sustainability principles into day-to-day operations of the assets and providing guidance to site teams during onboarding processes. Managing sustainable certifications and reporting processes for Green Star, NABERS, WELL, and other relevant standards.
  • Energy and Emissions Management: Monitoring and reporting energy usage and carbon emissions across properties, identifying concerning spikes for site teams to investigate.
  • Water Conservation and Waste Reduction: Monitoring water consumption, identifying efficiency improvements, coordinating waste reduction and recycling programs, and engaging with waste management contractors to ensure optimal waste outcomes.
  • Collecting sustainability data for internal and external reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual portfolio sustainability reports.
  • Supporting GRESB, NGERS, and other relevant reporting requirements.
  • Raising sustainability awareness among asset teams and contractors through training sessions and workshops.
  • Serving as a point of contact for the Eco Concierge program and promoting sustainability achievements.

In this role, you will work closely with site teams to support tenants in reducing emissions and achieving Absolute Zero targets. This involves facilitating documentation sharing and providing expert advice on sustainable real estate practices, green building certifications, and energy efficiency measures.

To succeed in this position, you must have several years of experience in Sustainability Management roles, particularly in the real estate or facilities management sector, with a strong understanding of emerging sustainability trends and technologies. Proven experience in managing teams and projects at a national scale is also essential. You should be proficient in measuring and reporting on sustainability metrics and possess superior communication skills to provide expert advice to clients.

We offer a competitive salary package, estimated to be around AU$100,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience.
