Foster Care Specialist

The role of a Therapeutic Case Manager in Foster Care is designed to support children and young people in foster care, with an emphasis on collaborative practices.
This part-time position involves facilitating transitions for children and young people, coordinating caregiver matches to ensure best-practice care, and providing specialized support to foster carers, families, and professionals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating smooth transitions for children and young people in foster care
- Coordinating caregiver matches to ensure the highest standard of care
- Working closely with foster carers, families, and professionals to provide tailored support
Required qualifications and skills include:
- Post-secondary qualifications in Welfare, Social Work, Child Development, or a related field
- A current Victorian driver's license
- A valid CPR and First Aid certificate
- Demonstrated ability to create safe environments and protect children from harm
- In-depth knowledge of the out-of-home care system and available resources in Gippsland
