Supporting Vulnerable Youth
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate professional to join our team, supporting children in foster care. As a key member of the care delivery team, you will play a vital role in ensuring each child receives the specialized care they need to overcome their past experiences and achieve their full potential.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate transitions and coordinate caregiver matches to ensure the best possible outcomes for children in foster care.
- Work closely with foster carers, families, and professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to children and young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
- Communicate effectively with adults, adolescents, children, and sector representatives to ensure comprehensive care and support.
About You
- Post-secondary qualifications in Welfare, Social Work, Child Development, or a related field (Diploma level with a willingness to study further).
- A valid driver's license and current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe environments for children and young people, protecting them from abuse and neglect.
- Knowledge and understanding of issues surrounding out-of-home care and available resources and services.
