Foster Care Specialist

We provide high-quality care to support children and young people in foster care, helping them heal from trauma and thrive. Our program is designed to work collaboratively with our carers as part of the care team.
">Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting children and young people in foster care, including facilitating transitions and coordinating caregiver matches, while ensuring best-practice care.
- Working closely with foster carers, families, and a network of professionals to ensure each child receives specialized care to overcome their past experiences and achieve their full potential.
- Salary: SCHADS Level 5 + super
- Part Time (4 days a week) ongoing position
- Increase fortnight take-home pay with access to $15,900 salary packaging benefits

- Post-secondary qualifications in Welfare, Social Work, Child Development or relevant qualification (if Diploma level, willing to study further)
- Current Victorian driver's license
- Current CPR and First Aid certificate
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe environments for children and young people and protect them from abuse and neglect
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of issues surrounding the out-of-home care system and the available resources and services in Gippsland
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with adults, adolescents, children and sector representatives
