We're seeking a highly skilled Safety Consultant to join our Health and Safety Consulting practice in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert advice and consulting services to our clients and internal stakeholders on all matters related to Work Health and Safety (WHS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide WHS consulting and risk management services to clients and internal teams, including:
  • Providing WHS advice on compliance and legislative updates
  • Completing technical risk assessments and associated reporting
  • Developing and delivering WHS training programs
  • Reviewing and developing WHS management systems and documents
  • Conducting WHS site and system audits and other WHS support services as required
  • Delivering high-quality written and verbal reports and advice to clients
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Supporting project managers in executing allocated tasks and deliverables
  • Implementing WHS IT systems for clients

Requirements

  • Tertiary degree in Work Health and Safety, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), or a relevant field (minimum Cert IV WHS + relevant experience will be considered)
  • 2-3 years + experience in WHS advisory or related role is desirable
  • Sound working knowledge of WHS and Safety legislation
  • Sound understanding of risk management principles and the ability to apply these principles in the management of WHS hazards
  • Skills in Safety Management Systems and WHS Management Systems Development
  • Experience in Incident reporting and investigation
  • WHS Auditing
  • Thorough knowledge of ISO 45001
