Family Violence Support Practitioner

We are seeking a dedicated Family Violence Support Practitioner to join our team in providing support and non-legal advice to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander men accessing the court for family violence matters.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by family violence. As a key member of our team, you will provide individualized support and services to clients, including intake, risk assessment, crisis counseling, and ongoing support.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with clients with complex needs and a strong understanding of the Victorian Aboriginal community, its culture, and the issues impacting it. You will also be skilled in communicating effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and possess a thorough understanding of family violence policies and current trends.
