**Position Summary**_
The role of the Specialist Support Worker with Darebin Support Services is critical to providing an enhanced level of service for our complex clients. As a highly competent Specialist Support Worker you will be working 1:1 with participants with complex and dual disabilities, working together with their support team and therapists to support independence, skill development and engagement in leisure activities and community based programs. responsible for taking a supportive role in a specialist area or working within a specialist program and/or team to deliver high quality supports to participants.

- A keen interest in mental health, dual diagnosis and complex behaviours.
- Passionate about learning and developing a career in the disability industry
- Passionate about supporting individuals to lead fulfilling engaged lives.
- Previous experience providing high level 1:1 attendant care support to participants.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid & CPR certificates
- Drivers License
- A relevant Disability/Mental Health qualification or equivalent is preferred.
- Demonstrated high level of verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, empathetic and willing to learn new skills.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
**Salary**: $33.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Preston, VIC 3072: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
Licence/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (required)
