Job Title: Farm Equipment Supervisor

This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day maintenance and servicing of farm machinery and equipment.

  • This includes leading the team to deliver fast and effective turnaround on breakdowns during peak harvest period, managing workshop budgets, spare parts, and inventory levels, and developing and enforcing safety standards including SOPs and JSAs.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day maintenance and servicing of farm machinery and equipment.
  • Deliver fast and effective turnaround on breakdowns during peak harvest period.
  • Manage workshop budgets, spare parts, and inventory levels.
  • Develop and enforce safety standards, including SOPs, JSAs, and workshop procedures.
  • Oversee and mentor workshop staff, while liaising with centralised maintenance crews and contractors.
  • Contribute to seasonal planning and preparation to ensure uninterrupted farm operations.
Requirements:
  • A trade-qualified mechanical background in agriculture, horticulture, or a related industry is essential.
  • Proven ability to manage workshop safety, including SOPs and JSAs.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise under pressure.
  • Financial acumen and confidence in managing budgets, stock, and reporting.
  • Leadership qualities – able to motivate, mentor, and guide a small team.

Please note: The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of agricultural practices, be able to work independently, and possess excellent communication skills.
